Professional Learning Services
Initial Certification
Regular Education K-9 | Cross Categorical Special Education K-12
Prepare to become a certified teacher in Regular Education K-9 or Cross Categorical Special Education K-12. Earn your degree through an on-the-job, accelerated program in partnership with Carthage College, specifically designed for individuals with a four-year college degree and a commitment to children and learning. Successful candidates gain teaching proficiency through a combination of graduate level courses, performance-based assessments, and the guidance of a highly qualified mentor. A reduction in tuition cost is available when enrolled in both the Initial Certification and Bilingual-Bicultural Certification pathways.

Add-On Certification
Regular Education K-9 | Cross Categorical Special Education K-12
Prepare to add-on or extend a current Wisconsin teacher license as a Regular Education K-9 or Cross Categorical Special Education K-12. While serving as the teacher of record, successful candidates gain teaching proficiency through a combination of performance-based and proficiency-based assessments, and the guidance of a highly qualified mentor. A reduction in tuition cost is available when enrolled in both the Add-On Certification and Bilingual-Bicultural Certification pathways.

Bilingual-Bicultural Certification
Prepare to add-on a Bilingual-Bicultural Certification through a performance and proficiency-based program for regular education or special education licensed teachers throughout the state of Wisconsin who teach students in a bilingual setting. A reduction in tuition cost is available when enrolled in both the Initial Certification and Bilingual-Bicultural Certification or Add-On Certification and Bilingual-Bicultural Certification pathways.

UElevate Leadership Development Program
Prepare to step into leadership roles within a current organization or new environment, including corporate, public, or nonprofit sectors. Program participants earn graduate credit, as an introduction to a Master’s Degree and administration certification pathway in partnership with Carroll University.
