As workforce needs continue to shift alongside political, economic, and social pressures, organizations across all industries are looking for new ways to strengthen their teams, retain talent, and plan for the future. This summer, Urban Learning Collaborative (ULC) in Milwaukee is stepping up with a timely new initiative:

 FUTURE-READY WORKFORCE: INNOVATE, ELEVATE, & LEAD — a three-part roundtable series designed to equip leaders, educators, and professionals with the insights, strategies, and connections needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

Whether you are responsible for talent development, navigating organizational change, or driving innovation, these sessions are designed to provide actionable takeaways and a space for meaningful collaboration.

What to Expect at Each Session

Each roundtable is held on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the first two hosted in-person at 6737 West Washington Street, West Allis, WI 53214 and the third session offered virtually. Attendees will engage in interactive discussions, hear from expert facilitators, and leave with fresh tools to tackle some of the most pressing issues in workforce and leadership development.

Developing Future Leaders: How to Build a Strong Leadership Pipeline (In-Person)

Retention Strategies That Work: Reducing Turnover in High-Stress Industries (In-Person)

High-stress industries often face the highest turnover. This session explores what it takes to create a workplace culture that retains top talent—through employee recognition, wellness support, and positive management strategies that boost morale and motivation.

Session 3: July 10, 2025

Leveraging Government Grants & Funding for Workforce Training Program (Virtual)

Tap into available government funding to upskill your team. This virtual session provides a practical breakdown of the grant landscape, eligibility requirements, and how to secure financial resources to support your workforce development goals.
